Fall is upon us all too soon.
Fall cleanup is keeping tree leaves off the lawns.
Use your lawn mower as a leaf shredder. Send the shredded leaves to your own compost pile or use them as mulch around shrubs.
It is also time to aerate fescue lawns, overseed and apply starter fertilizer.
In the South, it is time to plant pansies. I prefer violas as violas spread and have many more blooms at one time than regular pansies.
